Be sure your internet is strong where you’re planning to watch. About 2 hours ahead of time, make sure your internet connection is working.
If you haven’t used Zoom before, make sure you try out the link. It won’t connect you until it’s time for the class, but this way you’ll have the app downloaded and ready to go
Think about the device you’re using. Is the screen big enough for you to see? Can you hear? Check the volume ahead of time.
We love to see your faces, but if you feel your internet is slowing down, taking off the video is one way to fix this.
Plan to set up in a place where you will have minimal distractions.
Be on time! It’s a good idea to log in about 5 minutes ahead of time. The instructor may have some information on the screen for you. Once class has started, we won’t be able to go back to the start. Classes will start promptly at their scheduled time.
When you log on to class, mute yourself. Background noise is really frustrating to the others in the class, and your speaker picks up far more than you think!
Try out the chat feature. It’s an easy way to communicate without “unmuting” yourself. There will be someone monitoring the chat to be sure your questions are answered.
Double check the supply list, and have all your supplies within arm’s reach.
If you have questions, ask! Use the chat or voice feature.
Be positive and have fun.
Send feedback to the instructor and/or Millie P’s after the class. We want to know how to make this experience better for you!
